It’s based on the Workplace Happiness Standard (WHS), a science-based framework built from over 500 peer-reviewed studies.

You’ll learn how to embed wellbeing into real systems, not just policies.

What’s Included

You’ll join the official implementation of the WHS inside your organization. That includes the kickoff, team workshops and key integration sessions.

Once you’ve completed the process and passed the certification assessment, you’ll receive an official certificate issued by the Workplace Happiness Institute and digital badge for your internal profile, email signature or LinkedIn.

The certification fee is 500 € per participant.
In most cases, your employer will cover the cost as part of the WHS rollout.

Yes. This certification is designed for people who want to lead the conversation and help bring the WHS into their workplace. You will be part of the journey right from the beginning.

Do I need a management title?
Not at all. All you need is interest, and a commitment to meaningful change. And some courage.

I really would like our organization to implement the WHS and get the Workplace Happiness Champion Cetification. How can I convince my boss that this is the right thing to do?

Can only one person per organization get the Workplace Happiness Champion Cetification?
No. All employees that are part of leading the change and take actively part in the complete process can take the exam and earn the certification.

Yes. The program is applied in your real rollout and shows how to increase employee engagement, improve workplace culture, and improve job satisfaction. You’ll learn practical ways to resolve conflict at work (including elements of conflict resolution training for managers) and how to prevent burnout at work by designing healthier systems. It’s an evidence based leadership training approach built on the WHS, not slogans.

I’m unhappy at work, what to do? Can this help me be happier at work?
Yes, this certification equips you to change the system around you. You learn how to spot root causes, mobilize allies, and make concrete changes that lift morale and well-being across teams, not just quick fixes.

Is this a wellbeing or CHO certification/course?
You earn the Certified Workplace Happiness Champion designation from the Workplace Happiness Institute. While it isn’t titled “chief happiness officer certification”, the curriculum fits chief happiness officer training, employee experience training, and culture change training. It’s a credible alternative to a workplace wellbeing course or workplace wellbeing training, and addresses what many expect from an employee wellbeing program. We don’t issue a separate psychological safety certification, but you’ll learn how to build psychological safety within the WHS rollout.
