Certify That Your Workplace Isn’t Just Happier — It’s Built That Way

In a world starved for skilled talent, show candidates, clients, and investors that your systems truly support people.

After six months of living the Workplace Happiness Standard, your organization can earn formal certification – proving that well-being isn’t a slogan, but a functioning system.

Anyone Can Talk About Culture. Few Can Prove It.

You’ve done the work: implemented the standard, changed processes, engaged your people.

But without credible external validation it’s hard to signal progress to recruits or stakeholders, it’s easy for momentum to fade and there’s no pressure to keep improving.

Without certification, even well-meaning efforts can be dismissed as internal marketing.

Real Proof. Not Just a Poster.

WHS Certification is more than a symbol — it’s a system-level verification that your culture delivers on its promises. It shows talents, clients, and stakeholders that your commitment to people is real, measured, and working.

Unlike vague culture awards or internal initiatives, WHS certification is audited like a quality system usually is audited, grounded in scientific evidence and validated by your own people.

It’s how organizations move from values on the wall to values in action.

As communication expert Georg-Volkmar Zedtwitz-Arnim once said:
“Do good, and talk about it.

What Top Talent and Partners will see when they look at you

WHS Certification signals to employees, talents, and stakeholders that your organization delivers on what others only claim:

  • Your systems are built to support people – not just procedures
  • Well-being is not a value – it’s a verified, measurable outcome
  • Your culture holds up under scrutiny – and earns the trust of your team
  • You’re an employer of choice, backed by evidence, not empty slogans
  • You attract and retain talent with a credible, data-driven edge
  • You strengthen ESG, CSR, and DEI reporting with auditable proof
  • You stand out in competitive sectors where culture matters

WHS Certification doesn’t just say you care – it proves your culture performs.

FAQ

The Workplace Happiness Institute provides the standard AND certifies it. That is not industry standard, is it?
No, it is not. It is better. in traditional models, standards are published by one body and certified by another to ensure independence. But that system, while well-intentioned, often falls short in practice. Certification bodies compete for clients, operate for profit, and rely on repeat business – which can create pressure to be lenient.
As a non-profit, The Workplace Happiness Institute has a different mission. We’re not driven by volume or profit, but by integrity. We created the WHS to raise the bar — not lower it. That’s why we only certify organizations that fully meet the standard. Our credibility depends on it, and we won’t compromise.

Why do we have to wait for 6 months after implementing th standard to get certification?
Because we don’t certify paperwork – we certify effectiveness. While integrating the WHS into your Quality Management System can happen quickly, true certification requires more than documentation. We need to see that your implementation is working in practice: that your systems are supporting real, measurable improvements in employee happiness. The six-month period allows time for the changes to take root – and for your people to genuinely experience the difference.
